IE 6.0 sp1 help needed

Okay, my Autoupdate was accidentally on, GRRR, and it upgraded my IE 6.0 to sp 1. Now everytime I try to use the Control + Enter to go to a website it searches instead of going to the website. I have found in the Tools options, Search from the Address bar. On my work computer it is selected to Go to the most likely site. However at home it won't like me select that. Meaning that whenever I do select it, it just changes it. So now I can't use Control Enter to go to the website I want with ease. This is a real pain because I hate have to type www.ford.com to go to ford, for example. Does anyone know of a fix for this? I have even tried deleting IE but since I have XP it won't let me. I have actually deleted the .exe file only to watch it spawn again when I double click the Icon!!! Please help as I hate not being able to just go to a website with ease!

XP home edition or Professional?
Also (It may sound funny) but does your profile in XP have full access rights?(it sounds like it does but I wanted to check anyways)
