D&D 4E If Not 4e, Then...

What'chagonnado?

If 4E didn't come into existence I would be playing another PnP.

That would be, WoD (Promethean or Changeling) which I will be doing anyways, when 4E comes out, just instead of just playing WoD. I will be playing WoD and 4E.

I'll be running my 1e campaign for which I've FINALLY gathered a group of cool players. 3e lost its charm for me some time ago, so I'm sticking with my first gaming love.

Right now, I'm a switcher -- I expect to like 4e.

If it turns out to be a steaming pile of dung, though, nWoD is my most-likely scenario. In fact, my group was already heading toward nWoD when 4e was announced. If my campaign had wrapped when I expected, we'd have had time to fit a short nWoD game in, too.

For my fantasy gaming, I'll be considering Hero (if I want detailed and deeply customized PCs), Savage Worlds (for quick play and low prep), and oD&D/1E/BECMI (for quick play, familiar rules and a boatload of existing modules and settings).

I suspect I'll be playing a lot of 3.5 for a while until I semi-catch up on some of the material I have in terms of gaming adventures, etc...

I don't have a group now and play a lot of RPGA games. The rah rah rah 4e at DDXP didn't set well with me. I found a group that's playing Classic D&D...where elf is a class. I might play with them.

True20 all the way.

The more familiar I get with True20, the less interested in am in 4e.

Runequest (sans Glorantha) interests me too.

I'll most likely be playing Savage Worlds along with 4E, so I'd probably be playing that instead. I also play Pirates of the Spanish Main/Cursed Seas, Tannhauser, and various other games, like Linley's Dungeon Crawl.

I had hopes that 4e would bring me back to gaming, but that seems unlikely now.
I’ll play true20 if I can start a game in paris, or maybe wfrp if I can't.

Other than that, work out and go out a little more, reclaim my erm… love life while there is time (...complicated, nothing to do with dysfunction :uhoh: )

My current strategy is to stick with 3.5 unless 4th edition really blows me away. Other than that, I'll be keeping an eye on the development of the next edition of Hackmaster to see if it can lure me away from D&D.
