I don't know enough about three of those choices to make a truly informed decision.

However, of the two remaining, I think I would choose D&D (Basic/Expert) based on the way it pushed out certain classes.

I'd go with Castles and Crusades, because it gives me the feel of D&D, but the most important conveniences of 3E.

Having played all of these systems at one time or another, I would definitely pick Ars Magica

It's actually the fantasy RPG that I have gotten the most consistent use out of over the past 15 years...

I'd have to go with OD&D even though it is difficult for me to understand. BRP and Ars Magica are both very good though. BRP is probably closest in line with OD&D out of anything else up there.
