If you could try a RPG that ISN'T D&D...

In no particular order here's my list:

Witchcraft
Crimson Empire (came close to playing at Conception)
Conan
Mechmorphosis
Weird War II
FCTF or Mutants and Masterminds

Maybe get some games in the Gencon UK... If I get away from running V:tR that is :)

There's one game I've got in my basement which is likely too geeky for the rest of my gaming group:

DC Heroes RPG: Legion of Superheroes sourcebook

Just not that many people out there that think joining a team founded by Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, and Lightning Lad would be a good thing. :)

Here's my list

Feng Shui
Call of Cthulhu
Gurps
Continuum
Lost Souls

The last one is a gem of a game from the early 90's that begins where most games end - with the character's death.

I always want to try more Feng Shui, but I'd like to try playing a game of:

Star Wars: I've played two games of WEG and have GM'd the same d20 oneshot twice, with very different results
Red Dwarf: Not sure exactly how well it'd work, but I'd like to give it a shot.
Farscape: I actually liked the book and its slightly different rules. Think it'd be fun, but know I could not run it.
Mutants & Masterminds: Got to play it once and had a blast. I want more.
Buffy/Angel: Gotten to play it once and am now running a game, but I'd like to try it out some more.
d20 Modern/Urban Arcana: Very shortlived campaign left me wanting more.
Exalted/Changeling/Mage: From what I've read, looks like lots of fun.
Grimm: Sounds like fun.
Shadowrun: I've gotten to make a character, but the game died before we got to play. Definately something I'd like to try.
All Flesh Must Be Eaten: Had lots of fun the one time I've run it so far.
Army of Darkness: When it eventually comes out, that is. I want my boomstick!

And there are always more games out there that I would like to play that I've never heard of, of course.

Oops. Forgot to add Paranoia to that list. I know next to nothing about it, but it sounds fun.

RuneQuest
One of my favorite games ever, yet I've never really found anyone with which to play it.

GURPS
The new edition is finally selling me on GURPS.

Ars Magica
A realistically medieval RPG? Sweet.

Pendragon
Sorta same as above.

Alternity
The best "generic SF" RPG I've seen. A little clunky, but full of charm.

Traveller
Never really managed to get a game of this off the ground. I'd really like to give it a shot.

Burning Wheel
Coolest new FRPG, IMHO.

Arcana Unearthed
Played a game of this at GenCon, and now I'm hooked.

Unisystem
I've run Buffy once, and would like to run it again. I'd also like to give "full" Unisystem RPGs (e.g., Witchcraft, AFMBE, Terra Primate) a try.

Vampire
My hat of StoryTeller know no limit, but I can't honestly say I've ever played it. I'm game.

HeroQuest
As mentioned above, never gotten to play in Glorantha, rarely ever get to try rules-lite RPGs.

MEGS/DC Heroes/Blood of Heroes
It's a supers RPG, so I need to try it. :)

FUDGE/FATE
So cool. So probably never going to get a chance to play it.

CORPS
See above.

Tri-Stat
I own three incarnations of Tri-Stat; I'd like to give one of them a shot.

Midnight
See FUDGE/FATE.

Transhuman Space
Hard, near-future SF? Sign me up.

HARP
It sounds interesting.

Unknown Armies
The rulebook scares the **** out of me. Most of my players would never go for it.

This list could go on forever, so I'll stop. :)

The games that I always want to play, but for whatever reason never get a chance to are DP9's games using the Silhouette system, not the new d20 versions. Heavy Gear, Jovian Chronicles for your mecha action and Tribe 8 for a surreal fantasy experience.

Actually, I'm not currently playing D&D anyway, so...

I'm in an apparently stalled out Cthulhu game; that's always a fun one. I'll be running a Cthulhu/Dark•Matter game at the Detroit Gameday in a few months as well.

I've been in sporadic d20 Modern Dark•Matter-esque campaigns and there's constant talk of getting one going again.

I'm running d20 kitbash, using rules from all over the place.

What I'd really like to be playing, but am not, is d20 Star Wars, Arcana Unearthed/Diamond Throne (although I will be at the Chicago gameday, for at least a one-shot), Alternity (probably Dark•Matter again) and a game using the Mongoose Conan ruleset, either in that setting (or not, either way.)

I have one word for you --- TORG...

Many, Many, Many great hours playing this game but no one seems to know what you are talking about any more.

And I have had great hopes that the new version may actually be released some day.

Nile Empire here I come.

The storm has a name!!!

Compiled edition apparently due out later this year and a new edition next year.

All other games wish that they were this cool.
