Running my own game (Spellbound Kingdoms). Played some Traveller (classic) recently. Enjoy 3.x and PF, can enjoy 4e with the right group, but there's only so much time in the day/week/life.

Thanks for the great participation so far! I apologize to those unsatisfied with the way I built the poll, it is on purpose that way, sorry.

It's great to see some familiar names, after all I guess I'm not the only old furniture left around... :)

:D Didn't mean to sound too dissatisfied with the poll arangement.

We broke out some 4E Gamma World this weekend after having played some 1E/2E GW a couple of weeks ago. The old version was much more potentially lethal, I think, but the randomness of acquiring powers in the new version made things difficult to gauge. The GM was disappointed that combat seemed to bog things down compared to the pace of the old version, whereas the GM didn't care much for the layout of the early edition for getting info in or out of combat (though the GM was also saying he felt the organization of the newer edition wasn't a great deal better). We've been playing in a continuous scenario from the early to current editions but next time we keep it going we're going to try switching up the system to octane ( octaNe | RPG Item | RPGGeek ) and see what that does for us.

I've mostly run Pathfinder. I really enjoy Pathfinder E6, it really captures what I want from the game.

Since I game at college most campaigns are only a semester long. This let me run Iron Heroes (3e/3.5 derivative) , 4e, Pathfinder, and Pathfinder E6. I also ran a Mouse Guard campaign.

I played in a 3.5 Campaign using a bit of Pathfinder material, I played in a 4e campaign, and a bit of a Vampire campaign during a winter break. There have been a couple one shots in there- Mutants and Masterminds (2e), Microlite 20, and some others.

Right now, all the games wrapped up with finals right around the corner for our college. I am going to be running a Savage Worlds campaign next semester.

I've tried every D&D edition from Original box to 4e (Not pathfinder yet though), and I must say 3.5 is my personal favourite. Can't really argue as to why, I just like the options, flexibility, and general feel of it.

I DM'd a 3.5E campaign from late 2007 until early 2010. I won't do it again - I have a large group and it was almost a full-time job coming up with high level encounters to challenge them - I was spending 20-40 hours between sessions just designing encounters. I liked the system overall, just too much work for the DM.

We started a 4E campaign last year. I'm also DMing. It's much easier on the DM than 3.5E.

I don't love 4E, but it's a dream in terms of prep work compared to 3.5E.

We just put a homebrew 4e campaign on hold and started a pulp sci-fi Savage Worlds campaign (Slipstream).

I missed the 1st session due to illness, but apparently it went smashingly.

4E, although I've started to GM Savage Worlds and I'm trying to get players to favor the system too. 4E (Ptolus when I'm GM'ing) isn't likely to end very soon.

Technically, never switched from 3.0 to 3.5 but did bring in a lot from the 3.5 SRD where it seemed reasonable. Now DMing a heavily homebrewed version of 3.0. If I wasn't DMing that, would probably DM Pathfinder. If I wasn't DMing that, would probably DM either M&M 2e, Chill 2e, FASA Star Wars 1e, Chaosium CoC, or GURPS 4e.

Not currently a player, but looking for a game of Dread or Fiasco from an experienced GM.

One player in my group had also been in a 4e group until about 3 weeks ago. They just converted to Pathfinder.

Why does it matter what anyone else is playing? Play what you and your group want to play.

Edit: FWIW, we are playing 1e now and having a blast!
