If you were an evil demon overlord.....

Ok, the big final climactic battle of my campaign is coming up in a few days, and I want it to be a fun fight, but a fair one.. the problem, is my players are a bit tough, and one of them managed to acquire Divine Rank 0 (he's a ways back in levels from the other players, i believe 8 levels), the rest of the group is level 29. (group is: wizard 28, sorcerer 29, barbarian 29, fighter 25 (skeleton warrior), and a fighter 10/ paladin 11 (divine rank 0), and a cleric 29). The group is heading for a final show down with a cerebrillith psion 26, who has managed to hold himself up inside a bubble of protection from some dark deity, which basically prevents anything in; except the soulless (long story). But basically, nobody but the demon, his 4 minions, and the players can get in. The demon is originally going to be unable to fight, and won't enter the battle until the 4 minions are dispatched, they are: half-fiend fighter 19, human cleric 21, human necromancer 21 (using rules from the Necromancy: Beyond the Grave book), and a half-elf rogue/assassin of some variety. The problem I'm having is coming up with a good strategy for combating the deity player. All the other characters have weaknesses of some kind, except the deity. He has SR 32, high fort saves (thanks to being a paladin + having deity stats), good AC, and HP in the 300s. Anybody got anything that would work against him?

Only a SR of 32. A 20th level caster will get through that easily.

Just have one hit him with harm plus a quickened inflict wounds. Result = Dead Deity

Or go look at one of the smack down threads. Hp's are only in the 300's, that can go to -10 really quickly if you munchkin the baddies.

[Edit]- Yet another idea have the bad guys use the posion from a Devestation Centipede. It does 2d12 con damage and the DC is in the 90's.

Preferably something that robs him of that demigodhood. :D

I'm almost being serious, that's a HUGE advantage. Before ELH came out, I had thought to make my first epic-level game have characters with Divine Rank 0. I changed my mind right quick, I'll tell you that.

You could even make it into a story element where the player has to choose between demigodhood and being able to defeat the monster. That's pretty epic.

I don't really know what to tell you otherwise, since divinity makes characters pretty low on weaknesses (as it should be, but harsh in your case).

I don't have D&Dg with me right now, but aren't demigods immune to negative energy? That would destroy the Harm + QIW combo.

Maze is a nice spell. No save, no SR. Extend it if you can.

Mordenkainen's disjunction, to get rid of the party's buffing spells. And maybe a few off their magic items will bite the dust, too.

If the bad guys have deeper darkness up, and some kind of spell that lets them see in magical darkness (or maybe blind-sight), that would be good.

Vicious mechanical traps inside of anti-magic fields (with really nasty poisons). Which are inside a wall of silence. If there's no natural light, the characters might not be able to see and avoid the traps (even if they have true seeing- it won't work in an anti-magic area). The bad guys will know where they are, because they are on their home ground. If the anti-magic is in the form of a pillar, the bad guys can take cover behind them.

Antipathy spells. Forbiddances. Tanglefoot bags. Spell turning. A rod (or six) of cancellation.
