This is the ad on p.11 of the new Dungeon (126). Brilliant. I can only hope is shows up in some other magazines as well.

Ha! Hey, Buzz. I thought that was great as well. I showed it to the wife and everything.

FWIW, after initially rolling her eyes, she agreed that it was damn fine marketing (for the right market group). ;)

To be really effective, the ad hopefully will run in some electronic gaming magazines as well. Otherwise, if it's just Dungeon/Dragon, then they're just preaching to the choir :)

Right, I totally agree with this. What I like about the ad is that it does not take itself too seriously. On one level, it 'insults' the computer gamer, but really, pokes fun at all fantasy gamers. Good stuff. I laughed. :)

I love this ad also. Being a Marketing/Advertising/Management major I thought this was very well made. All they need to do it just get it in the right magazines.

It's in the latest issue of either PC Gamer or Computer Gaming Monthly, as well... Can't remember which (have subs to both).

THat's good to hear, it needs to be there and not so much Dragon.....

On the other hand, it becomes something that Dungeon and Dragon readers can show their friends - when the choir goes recruiting, it helps if they're all singing the same song.

(Yeah, that's an unbelievably bad analogy. But you know what I mean.)
