IGPX: Thoughts?

Nightfall

Sage of the Scarred Lands
I've watched the first two eps. Not bad. Not sure if it's as spectactular as some might hope but with IG Productions helming some of it, certainly nice looking. Plot could be a little better. (I admit, I like to see more mech fighting). But really the VAs, especially hearing good ole Lance Hendrickson and Mark Hammill, REALLY help make for a solid cast.

I hope they improve on the plot. But animation wise, graphics, etc, the production values are even BETTER than on Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

This month's subscriber issue of Nintendo Power came with a DVD of the first episode. Will watch today--I didn't know Hamill was involved.

Yeah he's the main villian. I was impressed by the VA casting as it wasn't what you'd expect. By that I mean even though Blum (Steven Jay Blum VA of Spike Speigal and a few dozen others, my faves being Zabuza from Naruto, Mugen Samurai Champloo, and TOM on Toonami), and Wahlgren (Kari Wahlgren, who voices you might recognize in Samurai Champloo (Fuu), FLCL (Haruhara Haruko), Witch Hunter Robin (Robin Sena), Wolf's Rain (Cher Degre) and Gungrave (Mika Asagi), DO make an appearance/are VAs, the rest are like veteren actors. My favorite though would have to go to Lance Hendrickson. Course I'm a big fan of his since Millenium. In any case, this is a good show and I hope it continues to be.
