As the title says, I'll be taking a little mini-vacation to the City. Checking out a few things before I move there. I'll be there basically between August 1 and August 6....ish. I've already done the corny touristy stuff and it's out of my system. Anyone want to recommend something fun? Or anyone there want to say "Hi" while I'm there? Or just want to give me some well-wishes on the journey? :)

Remember that NYC has 5 boroughs. Be sure to visit Brooklyn. Besides Prospect Park,The Brooklyn Museum, The Brooklyn Public Library and Coney Island, we have Kings Games http:www.kingsgames.com
Also check http:/ /www.brooklyn-usa.org/ for outdoor concerts, street fairs and other special events while you are in town.

If you like comic books, you can check out Jim Hanley's Universe. The main location is across from the Empire State Building.

Yeah, and you can look at the copies of Hulk #181, Giant Size X-Men #1, and X-Men #94 that I sold to them when I was flat broke and had to sell to pay my rent.

They are hanging on the wall behind the cash register.

I'll see if I can't take some pictures and/or organize an Ocean's Eleven-style heist. :)

No gamer's trip to NYC is complete without a trip to The Compleat Strategist (11 E 33rd St, between 5th Ave and Madison Ave, 212-685-3880). It's a tiny little store with more gaming materials than you will ever need. Check store hours before planning your trip.
