No, an illusion doesn't have real effects beyond what's in its spell description, including casting real illumination. The pixie didn't create any light, just the appearance of light in the minds of onlookers. The hundreds of illusory lamps would neither dispel the darkness nor be visible through it (though I think a caster could make an illusion visible through natural darkness, if he wanted to).
