I'm a huge fan of immersive RPing. How about you?

Are you a fan of immersive RPing in role-playing games?

It depends on a lot of factors.

I will say that some of the best game experiences I've had have been "immersive". The first game of V:tM was awesome because no one knew the rules but me and I statted up the characters based on input from the players. Everyone involved made many positive comments for years afterward.

It's all about the RP for me, whether I'm playing or DMing; having said that, as both a GM and a player, I dig the simulationist aspect of things too, depending on the system.
Of course, my maxim is that the system should never get in the way of a good game, so YMMV.

Hey, I loves me some RP.

I loves me some hack factor.

If all you want to do is sit around the table and talk, without referencing the rules or the dice for four hours, pass the stick guys. Why bother using the game at all?

Me, I'll take a bit from column A and column B, depending on what's right for me at the time thanks.
