I'm happy for people who love World of Warcraft Classic, but I just can't.

While running around doing the death knight intro experience for the Frostbound Proto-Wyrm mount, I realized this is probably about the 10th time I've run through this questline since the original Wrath of the Lich King beta (or maybe alpha -- I've gotten into a few of those over the years) in 2008.

Although WotLK remains my favorite expansion (although I really liked Legion and BfA in recent years), I just can't with Classic. The graphics are just too dated -- but not dated enough to be charming for being so -- the interface is not great and overall, it makes me appreciate modern WoW more, not less.

I have friends who only want to play Classic, and I'm happy for them. (Heck, I have friends who still play EverQuest 1, proving that for some folks, old school is the best school.) But man, it is a struggle to run around Tyr's Hand yet again after all these years.

It is a pretty snazzy mount, though.

Classic takes some getting used to, but I can only do it in small doses. There are too many things I miss from the normal version after about an hour of playing Classic that I just need to take a break!

On the other hand, wow, my frame rate is amazing in Classic. I don't have any problems in retail, but Classic, with its much less demanding graphics, is like a race horse on a jet plane.

It runs like a dream! I don't remember it running that smoothly when I first played Wrath.

I never got to do many of the dungeons in early WoW. I did lower black rock but never upper. I think I did the core once to get attuned but never went back. A lot of other things I missed out on. If I could I'd set up my own pre-Wrath classic server and run through it all in my own time.

I'm one of those WoW Classic lovers, too. But then my ideal game is also Classic EQ, like what you find on Project 99. Make me carry food and arrows, become encumbered to the point of barely moving with too many coins, and have to sit down and stare at a book to regain my spells, baby! Always gave me the 1e AD&D feels!

I played Classic when it first launched and enjoyed it a lot, particularly questing and dungeons. Although it was disappointing that they hadn't bothered to include the updated character and creature models.

I was never really a fan of the expansions, so I didn't jump into TBC Classic and won't be playing Wrath Classic either.
