I'm pissed off with Wizards of the Coast

In his defense, he seems to know it's a silly complaint.

So you noticed ;)

And yeah, I've worked retail. Christmas releases need to be scheduled in October if you actually want people to buy the item as a Christmas gift.

True, but the big spending doesn't start until Black Friday after Thanksgiving, so I suppose the November releases would be key and they do have quite a few items due out in mid-November: Heroes of the Forgotten Kingdoms, Monster Vault, Dungeon Tiles: The City, and The Wrath of Ashardalon board game.

Despite my original post being mainly tongue-in-cheek, there is also still mild surprise that there is a good three months between D&D offerings. I haven't taken the time to look, but I can't remember that happening, at least not since 4E came out. A month, yes, maybe two, but not three.

I don't know if I'm just dense and not getting the sarcasm, but Essentials is D&D, and the new builds in the player books are really not much different than new content in PHB N+1.

Never underestimate how much dressing something up in different clothes will change perceptions of it.
