Some of the wonders I have had to deny at my table:
- A child... well, a young girl who happened to walk the night and draw power from... yeah, I don't want to get into the thing. The 4-page writeup of the exploits of this character... I still shake a bit thinking about that concept.
- Someone wanted to play a construct in a Modern game, so I decided to allow him to go with an Axis experiment... the experiment wound up with a silicone-covered adamantium skeleton. Another creepy series of explanations of... prowess followed, wherein the low-level character had killed thousands (!) of Allied soldiers... yeah, it doesn't get better from there.
There are others, but when it comes to it I keep basic rules... but those fit best for my game and would probably be horribly divisive on the forum.
We have enough of that with edition wars.
