Immobilized and move actions

If one is immobilized, can one still spend one's move action to move one's beast (beastmaster ranger) or spirit (shaman)?

Same answer would apply to being restrained, I suppose.

Yep. You can also stand, convert the move into a minor and do any minor actions with it, etc.

Yeah. Those conditions keep you from moving not from getting a move action. If your pet or spirit was also immobile, then neither of you move.

No, the spirit does not suffer from normal conditions.

When you 'convert' the move action to a minor action you aren't actually using a move action though, so you can't move your spirit/beast with it.

The subsitution process is outlined on pg 268 of the PHB in a sidebar there: "you can take a minor action instead of a move action."

If you're taking a minor action instead of a move action, you aren't taking a move action.

I don't think keterys was arguing that, though, Diirk. He was just pointing out other things you can do with a "move" action.
