Improved Buckler Defense

First Post
Hi All,

I have a question regarding Improved Buckler Defense from Complete Warrior. The Character concept I have in mind would be using a two handed weapon, (Likely a Great Sword), and I was wondering if this feat applies to wielding a two handed weapon as well. The wording of the feat states you can make off hand attacks, but in your opinion does that include using your off hand as part of a two handed attack?

I also have a second situation where in a game I run a character who is heading for Invisible Blade wants to use a Buckler. Invisible Blade doesn't say no shields, only no armor can be worn, and that only daggers Kukri, or punching daggers can be used as weapons. Could an Invisible Blade still gain the benefits of the + Int to AC and wear a buckler?

Please let me know your opnions.

Thanks. :)

Sorry about the double post, I also am asking about an Invisible Blade and use of a Buckler. my player has pointed out that IB description of Unfettered defense says nothing about use of a buckler, and under another PrC in the book, (Dervish), it specifies only light armor, and no shields.

Twohanded question summary: As hyp stated, you don't need the feat to use a buckler for +1AC with a twohanded weapon (and a -1 to hit).

Invisible blade: Shields usually count as armor.

Then again, a shield provides a Shield bonus to AC, while armor provides an Armor bonus to AC. I can see it argued both ways, but I sure dont want to get in the middle of that.
