Improved Natural Attack

First Post
I was perusing the Monster Manual today and i found an interesting feat in the back.

Improved Natural Attack [GENERAL] increases by one step as if the creature's size had increased by one category.

Is there anything preventing a monk from taking this feat and boosting their damage dice ad infinitum?

Edit: It doesn't specifically say that you can take it more than once, that might be a factor.

Hm, I left my 3.5 MM at the place we game at, so idhmbifom, but if it doesn't specify that it stacks with itself, it doesn't.

Are there prereqs?

Has the wordage changed? I'd always considered the monk's attack to be an Unarmed Strike, not a Natural Attack. While Magic Fang may work, I certainly wouldn't allow a monk to start taking Monster Feats. ;)

But a monk's unarmed strike is treated as a natural weapon for the purpose of modifications such as Magic Fang and the Amulet of Natural Weapons from SS.

The feat is [GENERAL], not [MONSTER] or whatever the designator is in SS.

Exactly. The monk's unarmed strike is not a natural attack. It's treated as one for the purposes of Magic Fang.

It's also in the Monster Manual, rather than the Player's Handbook. I think that should say something right there. To me, this sounds like something of limited legality, which goes against the intent of the game (monk's already have their increasing damage die outlined in the Classes chapter,) and would never be allowed in my game.

Granted, your DM (or you, if you are the DM), may see it differently. :)
