improved unarmed strike Q

Negative Zero

First Post
on the surface, the answer seemed obvious, but when i re-read the feat, i realised that there's nowhere in there that says this feat allows you to deal normal damage with an unarmed strike. is htis right? has it been errated? am i missing something? did you change it? whadda you think?

Improved unarmed strike doesn't allow you to do real damage. To do real damage with a fist you will need a pair of gauntlets. On that note, you still provoke an AoO with guantlets if you don't have improved unarmed strike.

Monks possess Unarmed Strike class ability which states it contains the Improved unarmed strike feat plus the ability to do real damage if you choose to.
