A few weeks ago, over Memorial Day weekend, I travelled out to Pittsburgh to see some friends. During my visit -- from Thursday to Monday -- we manged somewhere between 24 and 30 table hours of Mutant Future, and it was great fun.
I had not engaged in marathon gaming sessions for a long time -- probably since the last time i visitted those friends, 7 years ago. I had forgotten how awesomely wonderful dedicating a whole weekend to gaming can be. Play is intense and there's a kind of depth you get when there isn't a week or month between 4 hour stints.
It is, of course, impractical, but it is awesome.
