In honor of Towel Day ...

(Just so this isn't one of those posts where someone assumes everyone's read whatever obscure manga they love or plays some random Amiga game from the 1980s ... Towel Day.)

My thoughts about Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy in Mongoose Traveller:

Arthur Dent is a Drifter, the quintessential Wanderer.

Ford Prefect is an Entertainer (Journalist), although he arguably has spent most of his career as a Drifter like Arthur.

Zaphod Beeblebrox is a Noble, a quintessential Dilettante.

Trillian is a Scholar (Scientist), although later on, at least one version of her becomes an Entertainer (Journalist).

Slartibartfast is probably a Scholar (Scientist or Field Researcher).

Marvin is a robot.

The Heart of Gold is a yacht with Teleport, even in TUs where only it (and the Bistromath) have such technology.

You know, I did skip over this topic because I thought it might be a reference to an obscure manga or maybe South Park. Finally decided to click the link. Did not know such a "holiday" existed.
