Lyyne Stewart, who played Miss Yvonne on Pee-Wee's Playhouse, died yesterday. She was 78.

Word on Bluesky is that Rodger MacGowan, artist for many wargames, has died.

Unfortunately this comes right on the heels of the MacGowan home and studio being destroyed in the Palisades fire. There is a gofundme for them at Donate to Support Rodger, Mae and Steven post-Palisades Fire, organized by Steven MacGowan.

Singer Roberta Flack died today. She was 88.

Man, that’s going to really bum my Mom out.

There’s certain parallels between her and Flack, and Roberta was one of her favorite artists of all times. My Mom was a HS music teacher, and used Flack’s recordings as educational tools in her classroom. She actually wore out 5 LPs of First Take in the process. Which, in turn, became one of my Mom’s most sought after CDs, along with Jimmy Smith’s Peter and The Wolf.*
