Founding Parliament Funkadelic bassist Billy Bass (born William Nelson) passed away at the age of 74.

Kai Budde, possibly the greatest professional Magic the Gathering player of all time, has passed away at the age of 46, after a years long battle with cancer.

He is the winningest player in MTG history with seven Pro Tour Wins, and seven Grand Prix Wins. He's earned the Player of the Year title four times, which in 2024 after coming public with his cancer diagnosis was renamed in his honor.
