I don't think they're camping in the cave, are they? And they're ready for us now, so getting 'em to fall into an ambush is going to be harder than ever.

Quidam stabilizes, but wastes no curative magic on, the Slayer.

Then he whistles a tune while urinating into the Slayer's rucksack.

Hey, there might've been something nice in there! If you ruined anything of value, its comming out of your shares. And where's my conversion manual?

I sit on the ground, well away from the growing puddle of urine near Slayer's bag, and begin applying clay to the edge of his axe for safe storage in the magic sack.

Quidam speaks a prayer.

"His chainmail and ring are also magical." Quidam also finds a pouch (in the Slayer's damp rucksack) containing 23 pp, 12 gp, 7 ep, and 4 coppers.

"There...nothing is ruined except this behemoth's rations! Pray with us next dawn if you wish, stealthy warrior, and learn the glories of Lady Luck."

Bear (Rgr3/Rog3/Clr3 Selune)

Bear is an imposing black bear, which means in coloration his fur and claws are black, but the tips of his hair and his muzzle are a bestial brownish. He has incredibly long tusk-like teeth ready to rip the throats out of his enemies and his eyes are bloodshot red. Covering most of his upper abdomen is a mithril chain shirt that has become caked with the mud of the trail and on his back flops a dull black cloak. Around a claw on the left hand is a silver ring known as Enthandas while on the opposite paw a golden ring surrounds the fourth claw.

Dalabrac Bramblefoot (Rog 7/ Shd 2)

Standing three and a quarter feet tall and weighing a muscular thirty-seven pounds, Dalabrac is imposing for a Hin. His dark hair is well groomed and tied back in a ponytail that hangs down to the base of his neck; and several strands fall around is face, braided with beads and griffon feathers. Dark eyes pear out of his cloak’s cowl, and they miss little that moves through the shadows that are his home. The cloak its self is the dark gray of a bird of prey and blends in to both stone and foliage equally well. The tunic he wears daily is a shirt of mithral links enchanted to look like a simple dark gray shirt, cut high to show off his well muscled arms. Underneath this tunic is a tight fitting woolen shirt dyed blood red. Around his waist is a wide, but plain, leather belt that conceals a set of finely crafted lock picks. His hands rest easily on the silver pommel of an obsidian bladed sword. It is obvious he knows how to use it well. Dark gray ribbons wrap around his calves, insuring that his loose fitting black pants do not trip him. On his feet are well-worn sturdy travel boots that make no sound as he walks.

Though he wears little jewelry, there are two items that need to be mentioned. First is the brooch he wears with his cloak. It is a deep black color that seems to absorb the light. On his left ring finger is a simple metal band engraved with the symbol of the halfling goddess of the harvest, Sheela Peryroyl. Slung over his shoulder is a dirty travel worn sack that defies the tidy halfling’s best attempts to clean it.

Quidam (Clr 6 Tymora/Auspician 2)

Quidam is a little shorter than Kaemris was, only five-foot-ten. His bald head shows no sign of ever having been covered with hair, and he has no eyebrows or facial hair. His eyes are completely gold, with black pupils at the center, giving him an altogether otherworldly look.

His elborate royal blue travel cloak whips and flaps in the alpine wind, which ruffles the green fur trim and three pale decorative feathers behind the hood, which is up. Beneath the cloak he wears banded mail and a plain brown tunic, and on his feet are sturdy black leather boots caked with mud. Always in his left hand is a plain wooden quarterstaff topped with a gold oval medallion of the Smiling Lady.
