In what order do you rank the LOTR films?

In what order do you rank the Lord of the Rings films?

  • Two Towers best, Return of the King second, Fellowship of the Ring third

Kai Lord;

Posting the poll like this is a really cool idea.

As far as I can see with 42 votes the ranking is overwhelmingly F>R>T. FotR beats RotK and tTT, RotK beats tTT, and tTT beats nothing.

F>T (35/7)
R>T (34/8)
F>R (28/14)

The "best film" is on the left of the greater than sign, and votes (for/against) are in brackets. I'm surprised by how low tTT is, only 7 people choose it over FotR and only 8 over RotK.

I don't rank them, as I consider then to be just one big long movie.
I do too, but I voted anyway because this stuff is fun to talk about. :)

Slowly, FotR is becoming like A New Hope for me to what RotK is to Empire Strikes Back. I loved them both but because Fellowship came first and introduced me to that universe in such grand fashion it will always hold a special place. I also think it is a stronger film overall even though there were many parts in RotK that were more entertaining.

So, is Return of the King worth watching? I saw the first two, but never bothered to go see the last one.

If you liked them... yes... if you didn't like them... no... ;)

With the most popular ranking being FOTR, ROTK, TTT...

I'd just like to point out that if you ranked them in order of which featured the most of The Shire...it'd be that same way...

Perhaps the two are related, eh?

Yes you do. If you were to sit down and watch the whole thing in one ten hour block, one of the three parts would have more that you like than the other two.

Totally irrelevant to the question at hand.

Yes, I'm being a pain in the ass. So what? :)
Not a pain, just in denial. That's cool if that's your thing. ;)
