Increase in locked threads?

Is it just my imagination, or has there been a recent increase in the number of threads being locked by mods?

This is no criticism of the mods, just an observation. I typically only haunt the General RPG and the 3E and 4E Rules forums in any case, so my observations may not be representative of what's happening on the boards as a whole.

But I am curious as to whether it might be part of a intentional decreased tolerance policy?

Or maybe some members of the community are becoming less mindful of Eric's grandma?

Or is there another reason?

Nah. It goes in stages. There have been two or three threads over the past few days who had reached their point of "we're tired of leaving warnings," "we've gone irretriably off-topic" or "the OP asked for the thread to be closed." I don't think this is indicative of any endemic problem. To be honest, I've been having more fun on the boards lately.

This is one of four forums (addressing three completely different things) that I have seen an increase of locked threads on in the last few weeks. Maybe there's just something going around.
