Indirect Attacks and Invisibility

I recently read on one of those character optimizations sites, that making an indirect attack does not end one's state of invisibility, and "Stinking Cloud," was used as the example.

So my question is, is this true? Do indirect attacks not end one's state of invisibility?

And, what is exactly the definition of an indirect attack? Why would the initital attack with "Stinking Cloud," not be considered a direct attack?

a) attacking doesn't end all forms of invisibility anyway
b) it's possible that the post you saw was talking about moving a stinking cloud onto people rather than the initial attack

a) I looked under the sections for Invisibility listed in the index of PH and the DMG1 and DMG2 and did not see any rules in what attacks do and do not end invisibility.

b) Where can I find such rules?

Look in the descriptions of the individual powers. Most powers that grant invisibility would have a duration, e.g. until the end of the target's next turn or until the start of your next turn, although some (usually the daily powers) can be sustained. In addition, taking certain actions can also end the invisibility effect for some powers. For example, the wizard spells invisibility and greater invisibility end if the target attacks, while the druid evocation camouflage cloak ends if the target moves.
