Information on Elven Thin Blade

Celtavian

Dragon Lord
I don't have the Dragon Magazine with the elven thin blade in it and a player wants to use one.

Can someone list the combat statistics for the elven thin blade? Can you apply weapon finesse for the elven thin blade?

What is the story behind the blade also? Is it just a better longsword or does it have some kind of story to it?

Any info would be appreciated.

As I recall, it's just a souped-up longsword/rapier: 1d8 damage, threat range 18-20, exotic weapon. I'm pretty certain you could use finesse with it, but I'm not 100%.

It is more like a rapier than a longsword because it is a piercing weapon. Here are the stats:

Elven Thinblade
Category: Exotic, Melee
Damage: 1d8
Critical: 18-20/x2
Weight: 2
Type: P
Size: M

It may be finessed by Medium-size creatures.

The question of the topic was never answered. Which Dragon is this in? I really would like to see it myself.

The description for the weapon states...
"This rapierlike weapon is favored by dextrous elven fighters and rogues alike. Its thin, flexible blade slips easily into the seams of armor. Some elven nobles carry a thinblade--decorated with intricate filigree and tiny gemstones--as a sign of their station, even if they aren't proficient in its use."
