Inn-Fighting

Legend
This isn't really news so much as interesting confirmation . . .

I just picked up WotC's new D&D card/dice game, "Inn-Fighting". I haven't had a chance to play yet, just glanced through the rules and cards and the game looks like a lot of fun. One type of card represents "adventurers" and includes:

Graelar, Human Warlord
Kshak, Githyanki Fighter
Nameless, Warforged Fighter
Silver Jack, Drow Barkeep
Stahdya, Human Warlock
Xxyzzt, Beholder Barfly

There are other characters, but these are the standouts. We have the Warlock and Warlord classes represented (so, I'm guessing all the noise about changing the name of the Warlord is too little, too late), and I'm guessing the Githyanki, Warforged, Drow, and Beholders will all be in Monster Manual I.

[HUMOR]Looks like two of the new monster classes will be "Barkeep" and "Barfly", which should really liven up the new tavern encounter system!!![/HUMOR]

This is so bogus! This is obviously indicating that Beholders will now be male and female, since the Barfly /has to be female/. Who ever heard of a male barfly?

Geez, WotC is ruining the game!

[Sorry, couldn't help it.]

More seriously, this looks like a great game. I'm looking forward to trying it out with real people. The fact that people don't get knocked out of the game is a plus in my book.

Well, I'm glad to finally see a class that focuses on the two most important parts of D&D--drinking and aerial combat.

Sounds cool. I posted a thread a week or two ago asking how this plays, so if you get in a play session let us know how fun it is.
