Re: Suggestion for new in character room Bingo! Yanou's player: "but have chosen to play a character younger then most" Exactly! You made that choice, so please don't be surprised if other players have their characters react appropriately. Depending on their chars, this may range from "that poor child, let me buy you something to eat" to "come here, kid, let me turn you over to the nearest orphanage" to "oh look, someone easy to abuse." It also pushes the Freedom-of-Destiny allowance to absurdity since others have to act as if this 3 or 4 or even 9 year old child can survive/avoid/escape/do anything it pleases as if it were an adult. And don't give me the necessity of hanging out in the tavern as if it were based on real life: in the real situation the child might visit it to cadge a meal but only when it was relatively empty, and he wouldn't be romping through it as if it were a day care center. Which you're asking that they create? Maybe they should make a gothic room for the vampires and a god-mode room for those higher than 40th level, etc., etc. Or people could just make characters appropriate to the existing rooms? If you want a character that others will enjoy playing with, then make a character that plays well with others. I'm a little confused by those that make quirky or difficult-to-deal-with chars and then are annoyed by others reacting to it. Play a grumpy sarcastic person, sure! But don't complain that people hate and avoid it. Play a "sweetly innocent" child, but don't be surprised if many avoid it as well.
