Also be careful so that you don't get the same treatment that Steve Jackson got when they where working on their cyberpunk book.

It's not are you paranoid, it's are you paranoid enough.

What treatment would that be? What did SJ do to get in trouble?

The following is pretty much taken from the Gurps Cyberpunk book pg4.

They were raided by the US Secret Service as part of a nationwide investigation for data piracy. they siezed their computers printers some loose hard disks and a buch of misc hardware. The Secret Service considered Gurps Cyberpunk to be a handbook for computer crime.

This was back when they were writing the book and hadn't yet released it.

granted this was back in 1990 when the net was new(ish), but with the programs that the gov. has now and after the terrorist incident they are probably a little more jumpy.

I'm trying to keep this in mind when I'm emailing a friend who works with radioactive materials for reference materials for my terrorism d20m game

I heard this third hand, but I think TSR also had some trouble with the feds. They were working on a spy game and they had pitched a boatload of playtest docs in a dumpster. Well, a concerned citizen found said docs. If i recall the police or feds visited the TSR offices soon after that.

Like i said, third hand info, so who knows. *Shrug*

THIS SITE HAS GREAT SATELLITE PHOTOS! For FREE!

Its http://earth.jsc.nasa.gov/

They're all pretty old ... 15 years or so, some of them, but they're still QUITE cool.

You can download small pics, or HUGE pics that are 5000 by 5000 pixels.

I would search by Geographic area if I were you, and do a thumbnail display.

Link doesn't seem to be working.

I don't know why ... its working for me ... ???

Go to Google and type in 'Earth from Space'

it should be the first link there ... and I tried the link from three different computers on two different net connections/service providers ... and I had a friend in Israel try it a few minutes ago ... works for him (he is downloading some pics of Russia as we speak).

EDIT - Ok ... just for fun and my heightened sense of sarcasm ... I went to the site and stuck my mouse over the Clickable Map link ... then took a screenshot ... so you can see the url both at the top and in the Status Bar ... http://people.nnu.edu/~awgentry/pics/temp.GIF ... so if you can't get to it ... not my fault ... hehe
