Interesting Article on Jack Chick

Better left unmentioned. I've lost all respect for Jack Chick since I first saw Dark Dungeons. The time honored tradition of players attempting suicide when their characters die is something that simply shouldn't be mocked. :D

Wow, what an introvert(sp?). He even has some of the same paranoid delusions, sounds like some gamers that I know. He'll surely burn for being so similar to a gamer. :p

If it is that easy to get his address, anyone wanna play a game of D&D using the BoVD in front of his house? :)

Interesting lesson here: If you are going to hate or even dislike someone, its better to know who they are, and why they are.

Thanks for the article.

I heard something once, that may apply to Jack Chick somewhat...

"Nobody preaches like a former addict."

I noticed, he was "foul-mouthed" before being "forced" to listen to a religious show, where he found God.

A funny thing I noticed too...
A young, oriental wife.
LOL

Still, at $0.14 a tract, he's making some bucks, and I wonder just how bad it twists him, and whether the article was correct with him being worried about "Pride" and "Greed" on one hand, and trying to get out his message with the other.

It was interesting reading, and I find it interesting that he honestly believes in what he says. He's probably a nice guy, if you avoid religion and other "sensitive" topics.

I wonder what kind of person he would be if he was put on anti-psychotics to help with his paranioa? (Of course, even paraniod people have enemies)

Someone better alert Jack Chick!

Given the recent deluge of controversial D&D products(Book of Vile Darkness, Demonology, Book of Erotic Fantasy), I think it's time that someone alert Jack Chick to the this travesty. What we need now is a little controversy to revive interest in the role-playing hobby. I'm sure many people have had bad experiences with people convinced that D&D was the tool of the devil, but no one can deny the controvery vastly increased D&D's sales and popularity. (How many people here started playing D&D precisely because it was supposed to be demonic?)

Unfortunately Jack Chick hasn't really handled D&D since the 1980's, and much of his information about the game is probably still rooted in the 1st edition. Given all the new products and information about the games, I'm sure that he'll have a field day. Just think about it, not only has Anthony Valterra anounced a sexually explicit "Book of Erotic Fantasy", but he also anounced that he is a member of an occultic "church" (Church of the Blood Red Moon). Just imagine of what Jack Chick could do with all this information.

So someone had better inform Jack Chick of all of this. We need a little controversy to attract new players. Perhaps he could issue a Dark Dungeons II tract. If no one here is willing to inform him, I can e-mail him myself (and also tell him about EN-World).

PS-This is not a troll.

Keep in mind that Jack Chick is almost 80 years old now, and I somehow doubt there is much fight left in the man. As tempting as it is to pick an easily winnable fight, prudence suggests he be left alone. Let the man make his movies, and his money, because (A) he hasn't done anything illegal to make it, (B) He has lost the respect of the majority of the Christian community, and (C) If he truly believes that people wish him harm instead of true indifference, it would be a pitiful shame to me if he were proven right.
