Interesting Eberron based combos

Edit - I misread Kalashtar apparently...This is an illegal design, but the overall question still stands: I was making a PC for a one shot 5E 5th level game set in Eberron. I decided on a Kalashtar Trikcery Cleric 4 / Rogue 1... and realized that at 5th level he could have a 30 Passive perception, effectively: 10 + 4 Wisdom + 6 (Perception Expertise) + 5 (Observant bonus) + 5 (Advantage on all Perception from Kalashtar becomes +5 on passive checks). I don't think that level of passive perception was available before Eberron.

It started me wondering about what other things that were not possible before Eberron are now possible?

Warforged AC can be quite insane. I tried to build the ultimate Juggernaut PC... something that could wade into a warzone and keep going indefinitely... A lot of options there.

Warforged Forge cleric 6th level can have 23 AC. Add heavy armor master to that and you have pretty tough terminator.

According to Kieth Baker, a warforged Forge cleric can't do the armor enchantment for their class.

Is it possible to enchant a warforged’s integrated plating? Would the Integrated Protection of a warforged be considered a “nonmagical object that is a suit of armor” for Forge Clerics?

No on both counts. In 5E, the idea is that a warforged is essentially a suit of magic armor. You can’t add additional enchantments to it. Instead, the strength of its enchantments inherently increases over time—which is reflected by warforged getting to add their proficiency bonus to their AC. So a warforged Forge cleric couldn’t enchant their body, but they could still enchant a weapon.

Scroll down to the part where it says Warforged Integrated Armor. It's a little below that header.

Kalashtar can't get perma-advantage to perception. That feature can only apply to Insight, Intimidation, Performance, and Persuasion.

Honestly, the bits of Eberron I would most like to explore aren't really covered in the new PDF. That's not a knock against the PDF; it's really well done and has a ton of info. But it's also only 176 pages, and can't cover everything.

So I'd like to delve into goblins and kobolds and kenku and ogres in the cities and "civilized" lands. I think an ogre veteran who fought for, say, Breland in the Last War and has flashes of PTSD would be a really challenging and exciting character to play. Traumatized by encounters with Karrnathi undead? Still reeling from seeing the destruction of Cyre? But nobody cares because you're a monster. Talk about problems with the VA. Sign me right up.

I'd probably make the character a lore bard, too, just because that would be an awesome character to play. If a DM balked at the ogre bit, I could do it as an orc, but I think the ogre would be even more interesting.

The entirety of the original materials - outside of the crunch - is still valid. The calendar of Eberron has not advanced. This is the same campaign world as when it was first released. These new books will give us the essential crunch, but the original setting information works perfectly well... and covers a lot of ground.

A lore bard changeling makes a good substitute for chameleon prestige class/paragon path. You get spells from any class, skills, some weapons that aren't had, even that tensors transformation when you want to act like a fighter.

Very much an "ask your DM" combo, but Warforged Bladesinger can break AC. Go envoy so your stat bonus is +1 dex +2 con +1 int. I extimate AC 29 at high level.

I pointed out else where that land and water vechiles are considered to be tool profiencies, so your Envoy can be a boat or a wagon.
