One thing I've always hated about the Eberon books is how they reproduce the cover on the inside. Now to a point, I can appreciate it because the cover is on it's own "plane" or side to speak and isn't the full cover.

But I'm seeing other companies do it now and to be honest, it's a page waster for me. Especially as many companies are reproducing the cover in black and white and it just doesn't look as good.

So fellow gamers, interior reproduction of the cover, waste of space or alternative take?

I think the idea is to have a copy of the art that doesn't have all the cover stuff covering it.
The problem is, it's still inside a book. If the artwork is really so great that it must be viewed without logos or text covering it up then print it as a 4-sheet poster I can pull out of the book and hang on the wall in my basement or something. Otherwise, I agree with JGK, it's wasted space.

REally, I loved the full spread in the Eberron books. I hate when a cover is just repeated as a single page.

As much as I wish this would have been done, it's too costly to do this for every book. At the very least, offer the artwork as a high-resolution image on the website.
