Feh.

All I can say to Fluid is, if you don't do right by us, we'll be forced to spread our dissatisfaction to the potential customers of your Powerpuff Girls sofware.
After that, we will continue to patch and upgrade as business permits. WotC has no intention of supporting the patch process, so it's up to Fluid.
Well, this is an ominous sign. :(

Ok, now I am picturing a bunch of D&D geeks hanging out at ToyRUs and ranting to 13 yr old girls about software design and lack of class creation.

:D

Are you crazy? In this day and age, you'll be picked up by local law enforcement. I'm sure the gamers will find other ways to get the message across.

We all must remember. Whether we like it or not Fluid is a business and must make business decisions.

I'd like to see WotC complete hand over the entire eTools project to Fluid. Let Fluid do whatever they want. Let Fluid make the money of eTools stuff and Fluid will be more apt to create eTools stuff.

As much as I hate to say it but eTools is out, they're beta testing the patch so I know one is coming I can be patient. Fluid is making nothing more on eTools so eTools should take the back burner to those projects that are bringing in money.

But, I have a 6 year old girl so I'll be buying Powerpuff Girls as well. Oh boy, can't wait for that.

Cool, I was wondering when this would show up. I look forward to going and reading it. Before I do I just wanted to say I still believe they (fluid) will help us out. Lets give them a chance and see what happens. Dont give up yet folks. They are trying, I just know they are. :)

While this may be true, we don't really know that Fluid doesn't have a revenue sharing setup, do we?

From the look of things, they only develop the software so it's more than likely there was a work-for-hire contract agreement. IOW, They simply get paid once by WotC for the software. Now that Wizards have the program, they're responsible for publishing the software and distributing it.

Thanks guys over at Fluid! After reading the interview a lot of things started to make sense, we really appreciate the effort!

After that, we will continue to patch and upgrade as business permits. WotC has no intention of supporting the patch process, so it's up to Fluid.

This is extremely disturbing, first they pull a fast one with the Master Tools, E-Tools is not 'perfect' and requires patches, and WotC just walks away!?!? Personally i'm torn between this software failing miserably for WotC and my desire for a good D&D tool (and the finances for the guys at Fluid). I hope that Fluid still has the time to 'support' E-Tools, and pray that they stop hardcoding the +1 caster level...
