D&D 4E Introducing 4eTurnTracker!

I have just released a new version of 4eTurnTracker. :) [...]

Thanks for the new release. Later on I will provide additional feedback on layout and button position. B-) I really like the button dividers, but there is still something not working for me in their sequence and groups. :hmm:

Generally, speaking what do you think of ribbon interface?

Monster Manager (I really like the name) is a great addition. ;) Now, what you just need are powers and actions tracking (such as, Attack, Move x squares of total, charge, shift etc.) (By the way, items number 10 and 17 in your to-do list.)

I would also add an optional time stamp in the history log. It would be nice to trace how long a combat lasted and how much a player took to solve its recorded actions. B-)

TurnTracker looks really promising and it is getting better fast. Happy new year and happy gaming.

I give up, what does "m-state=Marred" in the "terms.txt" file represent in 4e? I know I'm rolling a DUH moment here, but I can't come up with it.

Hi All!

I have just released 4eTurnTracker 1.0.04 Beta. This version has some great new features, including:

  • A Character Creator window for creating and editing PCs
  • Import of character data from .dnd4e files
  • Significant improvements to the Monster Manager window
I have also fixed some bugs, including a bug which prevented reading the History file after an Extended Rest. Check out the release notes for details.

You can follow me on Twitter for quick updates on new releases, bug reports, etc.

And, if you have a comment, feature request, or a bug report, then post it on this thread, or contact me directly.

:D Paul

Love the program. Literally just looked for a update as you were uploading the new version. :)

General non-app issues:
- The "Release Notes" link on your News page is dead. It goes to this: "http://4eturntracker.com/Character%20Builder"

- Your contact link you posted in the previous post is broken.

We used this app last week in our session and loved it but also found lots of little oddities and bugs. We'll log them during our next session (tomorrow evening).

The two off the top of my head are:

  • The biggest one I had as a GM was the need to open up a dialog box every time someone was damaged or healed. I thought an easier way to enter this data quickly would be to have a damage and heal entry box at the end of every row (each combat participant).
  • Player screen should have an option to scale to fill the entire window. It was literally no larger than 1/4 the size of my monitor and my players said it was small.

Oops! Thanks, I fixed it.

Thanks, fixed that too.

That would be great! All quirkiness and bugs must go!

Yup, these are very common actions, so it would be great to reduce the number of clicks.

What about healing surges? Would we need 3 fields in the list box: Damage HP, Use HS, Heal HP?

What do you think of the following possibilities: add the fields to a tool palette or add a context menu which brings up a "mini-dialog" (or both)?

[*]Player screen should have an option to scale to fill the entire window. It was literally no larger than 1/4 the size of my monitor and my players said it was small.
:erm: this is a significant problem. The players are generally quite far from the screen. I would also like to somehow include portraits (or a portrait) in the Player's Display...
