Invincible Dragons?

First Post
Ok Suppose I am a dragon (BADD, Accepting members? :D ) I have the Greater Matamagic Rod of Persistent Spell and cast Time Stop, Will I have 24 hours of time stop or this is just paradoxal?
Going further, Suppose I have 24 hours of Time Stop, and that I cast some spells, like Illusions, and when I'm satisfied with my spells cast, I cast Anti Magic Field on me (enlarged 3 times so it fits my colossal body). I suppose Time Stop effect will cease, but will not be terminated, as the AMF description
Ok, then I go grab and kill some unwanted players that came close to my lair, but one of them had Morderkainen's Disjunction and casted on me and got that 20% chance on dispelling my AMF. Since I still have that persistent Time Stop running, It's just a matter of taking the time and cast another enlarged AMF on me.

Well, is all of this above correct? If so, well, let's not mess with dragons :D

Time stop cannot be maximized or extended....

Well this is not on spell description nor on the feat description (and it's Persistent Spell feat, from Tome and Blood)
Where did you see that limitation?

According to the FAQ:
Assuming you are high enough level to cast a
persistent time stop spell, could you use the virtual 24
hours the spell lasts to rest and recover your spells?

You can't make time stop persistent. (Its duration is effectively instantaneous for purposes of the Persistent Spell feat.)

Besides there is no such item as a Greater Metamagic Rod of Persistant Spell.
True, you could, as a DM, allow one to be made, but I would discourage that.

And we're talking about a dragon with a CR of 25 or so. A level 25 party should have some interesting things to counter with.

Well, ok, this rod doesn't exist. But if the DM allows it (the requisites for building one should be the same as for any other metamagic rod), does something more stops this dragon to use that tactic? Persistent spell adds 4 levels, and if I could pick a price for the rod I would get the same price for the quicken spell rod (also +4 levels)

As for the items on the party I agree. The title "Invincible dragons?" is there just to call readers to the thread :)

Yes I am,

But until now I couldn't find an errata or something that says so, then I am making sure this is the only thing that could stop this tactic.
All of this because we play a house rule that Time Stop can't be used in conjunction with spells that harm (aggresive spells) so this "house rule" you mentioned wouldn't be "needed", and this tactic of mine is more a escape route for the dragon since he could dispel his AMF at any time.

If you remember or find where this errata/house rule/unofficial rule is please tell me, it's important to our campaign.

Thanks! :D

No, you are not.
Read my message above. Read all of it. Good. See the quote from the official DnD FAQ? Good.
