Invisibility and Ioun Stones

On one hand, this is true. What the DM says goes. On the other hand, he was messing with you, of course they go invisible! On the gripping hand, maybe your being invisible messed up something he wanted, so he made a lightly unreasonable ruling to foil it. The temptation to do that can be difficult to resist.

And, of course, in any case Ioun stones are sub-par. Sell them and get something good.
