IR Aftermath (Revival/Take 2) (A Work In Progress) (3rd IR Players Please Read)

Also: Are the DCs standard or is there some special stuff on some of them because I aim to correct those inconsistancies ?

Here are those inconsistancies:
It looks like the Gravity Manipulation Save should be DC 39 (10 + 1/2 HD + Con Mod (14))

The will save should be +32 ( 17 (Base) + 15 (Wisdom)

I have no idea what happened with the DC of the Touch Attack I think it should be DC 39 as well. (unless its 10 + spell level (dunno what spell) + Cha Mod)

You're probably right, which it a bit embarrasing for me. It seems neither me or Draco had a very good grasp on the 3e rules when we created the species, but the truth is that we were hard pressed for time and had to make the Cydian official in the IR as quickly as possible to maximize our advantage. I'll look over it again.

And you don't get iterative attacks with natural weapons (Claws/Bites/Etc) except Slams.

Then I should change their attack from claw to slam they are not really clawed anyway.

Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for taking it so well, relax you weren't the only one with such mistakes. I made mine as a template which was a huge mistake since the only things in the entire Monster Manual to benefit from it in that form are the Tarrasque, Really Old Dragons and Solars pretty much everything else gets totally replaced by it.

Hehe, that was the nature of the IR. There was never really any time to think things trough. Time was always too precious. The fast pace was one of the things I like the most about the 3rd IR, it generated a sence of action and excitement that other games just cannot match. It demanded near total commitment to the game, but it also helped to make that commitment possible.

I'll see what I can find about the UoW, the Church, Domain and the God Emperor himself.

Hi Forsaken. Your interest has been noted. I also await your writeup. :)

Okay Serpenteye, the sparky Cydian is now in the new races 1 post couple more questions though:

Was the LA of +10 based of off my offhand remark before or your own judgement ? (if its the first I'd prefer to leave it blank for now if you don't mind).

Also what source is the Loyalty domain from as I'm not aware of it ?

And some more questions:
Is it really a good idea for them to have Holy Word/Unholy Word (which also should be Blasphemy), if used on a plane they aren't native to it will banish the entire legion of Cydian's basically.

It might have been a bit hasty. Perhaps the race should be play-tested first to see how it would fare against some epic mosters and characters of roughly the same CR.

Neither am I, it's probably something Draco made up. I think Loyalty was one of Kas' divine domains. I suppose I should remove it for now, and put it back if Draco requests it.

Well, I can suggest a couple of replacement domains from WotC domains if you like given until tomorrow sometime. Draco could then write up the Loyalty domain if he wants to and I'd just remove the alternative.

Also I just added this to the original question post: Is it really a good idea for them to have Holy Word/Unholy Word (which also should be Blasphemy), if used on a plane they aren't native to it will banish the entire legion of Cydian's basically.

That would only happen if Cydians from different planes acted in the same units, quite a rare ocurrence. Cydians on their home plane would not be affected by it, nor would Cydians be able to inflict it when not on their home plane. Cydians of higher HD could affect their peers with the other negative effects of Holy Word or Blasphemy (that are not countered by Cydian immunities) but they could simply choose not to use the abilities in close quarters.

Holy Word...
Furthermore, if you are on your home plane when you cast this spell, nongood extraplanar creatures within the area are instantly banished back to their home planes. Creatures so banished cannot return for at least 24 hours. This effect takes place regardless of whether the creatures hear the holy word. The banishment effect allows a Will save (at a –4 penalty) to negate.

I have made some corrections in my write-up of the Cydians (corrected some typing-mistakes, you can copy-paste the new entry to your post.
