(IR) Concerning the third IR

Ah, that is true.

The Hand of Vecna (SN) has claimed Vecna and his legions ... I think.

Kalanyr, it seems Vecna is claimed, after all.
However, the Drow of Oerth are NOT claimed, and I need someone to run them very badly.
If you feel up to playing the Drow of Oerth, please help yourself to them!

Celene is claimed by Alyx.
Since the Orcish Empire of the Pomarj is claimed by Turrosh Mak, and the Technocracy of the Lortmils is claimed by GnomeWorks, and since the three powers are right NEXT to each other, with NO intervening neighbors or powers at all (indeed, Celene is partly between the other two), it's going to be a nice, cozy, close relationship ... hehehehe.

The Circle of Eight is led by Mordenkainen from his Citadel of Steel in the Yatils, and the designation Circle of Eight includes the mages themselves, and all their fortresses, followers, and powers summonable.

However, Mordenkainen the Magnificent is the personal character of Col Pladoh, who is a regular participant on these boards.
The Circle of Eight are the characters of Col Pladoh, or at least many of them are, and I believe the conception of the Eight is his.

Likewise, the Valley of the Mage is run by a PC of Col Pladoh's, and the setting was a home setting of his.

I will e-mail Col Pladoh, and ask him if it is ok if someone else claims the Circle of Eight or the Valley of the Mage.
If Col Pladoh says it is ok for someone else to claim them, then I will post that to this thread at once.

If Col Pladoh says yes, then you are free to claim either the Circle of Eight, or the Valley of the Mage.
If Col Pladoh says no, then nobody may claim them but Col Pladoh.

Give me a day to find out.

Rary the Traitor and his Empire of the Bright Lands is NOT claimed.
If you wish to claim Rary, please be my guest.
The Empire of the Bright Lands has a strength of 3 (equivalent to Veluna.)

NONE of the Uleks are yet claimed.
An important point. The Principality of Ulek is bounded on the north by the Lortmil Technocracy, and on the east by the Orcish Empire of the Pomarj (which holds the eastern half of that country.)

If you claim one of the Uleks, please feel free to claim all three of them.
In fact, I would request you do so, if you are up to it.
The three Uleks have long been friends and allies, are of a general demihuman bent, and all are opposed to the Orcish Empire.
Furthermore, each one of the Uleks singularly is weak, but all three together have a combined strength of 5 (equivalent to the strength of Furyondy.)

The Drow of Oerth are reasonably formidable (they are stronger than Furyondy in all it's might.)

I created an list of the strengths of the various peoples, nations, and theoretical alliances of Oerth, but it is on the old Message Board, and currently that board is inaccessible.

Once that board becomes accessible as a Read Only board, I will copy my article from it, and paste it here.

A note to Forrester, if you are out there.

If you claim the Humanoids of Oerth, something interesting happens.
The humanoids of Oerth are largely under the dominion of Iuz currently (and Iuz is already claimed by someone.)

If you claim the Humanoids, Forrester, they are assumed to have successfully revolted against Iuz, and broken free to do as they please.

Iuz will lose a great part of his strength rating, and he will be in a very bad position ... and probably he will want his humanoids back, which could mean war with you.
Or alliance, if you are clever enough to pull that off.

Currently, there is some friendship between Iuz and his humanoids, and the drow.
Both are chaotic.
Both employ the service of demons.
Both are up against the Furyondy - Veluna - Keoland alliance.
Both are losing the battle against that alliance.

(Please remember that Furyondy and Keoland are Oeridian human dominated, and even Veluna is only minority demihuman ... Forrester, take note!)

I myself am playing the last true Illithid from Toril. Illithid literally translates to Mind Flayer. No other member of my species that remains on Toril can call itself that and speak the truth.

As a result of our last violent stand against a world that was incompatible with out philosophy, we staged a war against the world, henceforce known as the ten minute war. We were everywhere. We fought as hard as demons. And we died like rats. In ten minutes it was over, and the streets ran heavy with the ichor of our people. Mine was the only blood not spilled, as I was held to speak for the crimes of my people.

But we, as a race, do not take insults well. My people forged all of their sorrow, their rage, their will in to my form in their dying breaths. All of the life force that they tempered in their last moments of furious battle was plunged in to me.

I gained 5,000,000 XP.

It took a while for them to all kick in, but when they did I was out of that cage like a demon out of arcadia. Currently I'm bumming around the slime pools of the One True God Ilsensine, the creator of the Illithid race and lord master of all matters psionic and dominating. My level is around the highest end measurable using the new Epic Level Rules, and all of my abilities are based around psionics and gunfighting. My powers are brutal and dangerous. My plans are secret...

Riot Gear ...
Soloron, head of the Solistarim, knows of your illithid PC, and would welcome him into the Solistarim as an ally and advisor concerning these Realmsians.

In other words, if you wish to claim the Solistarim as the power you speak for, go right ahead.

IC, the Solistarim would welcome your illithid PC, and the illithid of the Solistarim will be doubly welcoming ... and horrified beyond belief at the corruption of their brethren from Toril.

Thank you, Bugbear. I appreciate the bumping of this thread.
And thank you, Zelda.

Col Pladoh (Gary Gygax) has given me permission via e-mail to allow anyone who wishes to claim them to run The Circle of Eight and The Vale of the Mage.

So, in answer to you, Terraism, all of the powers you named except Celene are open for the taking:

The Circle of Eight
Rary the Traitor (The Empire of the Bright Lands)
The Valley of the Mage
The Duchy, County, and Principality of Ulek

Or anyone else may claim these.

Anyone claiming The Circle of Eight, please remember you are speaking for Mordenkainen, with all that entails.

As fun as IR#1 and IR#2 were, and as successful as I was in leading the Humanoids to greatness and glory, I think I'm going to sit this one out, at least for now. If/when the Humanoids of Toril must be spoken for, I will speak for them, but it seems as though most of what will happen will be happening on Oerth, and Oerth alone.

At least, lord, I hope so.
