Iron Kingdoms (aka RPG Vapourware)

What exactly does that "nope" apply to? You don't think the book looks good? You rush your spaghetti sauce?

nope = shorthand for i respectfully disagree.

And my issue with pp is not the fact that the IK game is no longer interesting because its no longer the "new thing"

Rather some frustration that (1) PP have not only put the game out much later than announced - and specifically that they were unable to give realistic times for the release - see my point about PPs estimated release dates prior to the IK product splitting.

And (2), the fact if they had:

Released the product (in some form) when enthusiasm was highest,
they would have made serious $$$$,
which they could have invested back into making more cool books,
which would mean that today IK would have a lot of support material/large player network etc. etc.

It will still sell very well. Its likely to be very good. But it is no longer going to be the great thing it could have been.

Actually, it will probably be twice (or more) the great thing it could have been. IK is the release of the year, as far as I'm concerned. The fact that they took longer than they meant, but are releasing more than twice the product they planned is a great tradeoff, as far as I'm concerned.

And apparently, the books have shipped today. Not sure what the official release date is, but it means that we'll be seeing the books pretty damn soon now! :)

I got some more bad news for you. The books just shipped out, so that means you'll be seeing them in NZ in about 3 months. Lucky for you that you don't care...Lucky for the rest of us that we'll see the books in a week of two.
