Iron Kingdoms Game (OOC)

I'm sure it will happen. I will be pretty busy from now until the 15th and then after that I will be away from a coputer until the end of August, so my guess is that it will not start until September. I started by face-2-face IK game on Wednesday, and this game will be running parallel to that, so I have every intention of running it.

In the meantime, people might help each other out with their characters. So far Ranger Rick, Karl Green, and linnorm have submitted characters, and Bobitron has recently posted. Any of the original group that had been interested still around and excited?

I apologize for my lack of posting on these boards, but things have gotten a bit more busy for me lately, and I took on GMing another PbP game here.

We'll make it!

Trust in Morrow!

Understandable. Both with my personal track record and the way things often go around here. I'll try and keep you in the loop.

Congrats! Nothing like a face-to-face game. Will you GM it? If so, where are you setting it and when? I'm guess it won't be your first IK game.

Sorry, live in NYC, so the commute would be a bit of a drain on the pocketbook. :heh:

Hello again folks,

Just a few thoughts on the IK game.

First, to quote the new musical Spamalot, "I'm not dead yet!" I still have lots of interest in this game, but since I will be away for the rest of the month starting on Monday, there is not much point in getting things started now.

We currently have three players with characters posted. I'm fine with running it with three people, although if more people join us (in September) so much the better.

If you don't want to spend your XP on magic item creation, I'm also happy to take XP I.O.U.s. What I mean by that, is just figure out how much the weapon/scroll/potion/etc will cost, and then when you gain XP they'll just have to be subtracted from the amount you "owe me". How does that sound?

I also wanted to give a bit of an update on the exact campaign parameters. Since we're not starting at 1st level, I would prefer it if everyone already knew each other. In fact, I would like to run a little pre-game intoductory game before we actually get started on the IC board. What I mean by this, is that we basically talk through the last "adventure" you were on together. That will give you a chance to flesh out your PCs personality a bit and also see how you all interact together.

So here's the setup for the intro game. You have been hired by the Order of the Golden Crucible to talk to a local bogrin tribe. The reason they need negotiators, is because one of the Order's prospectors discovered that the goblin tribe is sitting on quite a large deposit of black rock. Black rock is a mineral which is one of the key components to creating blasting powder, and the Order will do almost anything to get its hands on it.
The reason that they want to negotiate and not just go in their blasting (many in the order are mages, after all), is becaus they want to keep this hush-hush. Because of Khador's invasion of Llael, blasting powder is at an absolute premium right now, and the Order wants to maintain what little control it has over its production.
If they told the army, they would send in a batallion of Cygnaran trenchers, and that would be the end of the bogrin, but then they would have to deal with the army being in charge. This is why they are sending you.
Your mission is to trek through the backcountry surrounding Ceryl, make contact with the bogrin, and figure out a way to convince them that they should let miners working for the Order set up shop in their backyard.

Hi folks,

I'm back from my absence and am ready to start back on the planning of this game. Speaking of which, I picked up "Liber Mechanika" yesterday and have been going through it. Lots of new stuff, including a somewhat updated Arcane Mechanik class! Let me know if you would like me to post any goodies :) Any requests?
