Is anyone playing a campaign in the Warcraft Universe?

Joker

First Post
The title pretty much says it. I recently bought Warcraft III (Collectors Edition, muhahahahaha, I'm special :)) and after playing it for a while and reading the books (the manuals and the pocket books, mostly the manuals) I realized that this game has a fair amount of history and would make for a really cool campaign setting. And with the World of Warcraft coming out, who knows what more will come.

So I was wondering if anyone shared my enthousiasm for this game as a campaign world. And if you have a campaign built around this game, share with me how it's going.

Tata.

Nope, but from memory there were some prestige classes in dragon based off the game, and I've worked adapted versions of them into my game :)

I havn't converted it but with the additional backstory of Warcraft 3 I think it's a much more interesting setting, except maybe for some of the info concerning the Burning Legion; but with so many Scarred Lands enthusiasts around I'm sure most people here would find nothing about it very cheesey, and the night elves and orcs of Warcraft are much more interesting than the standard D&D varieties. There was, at least at some point, talk of a d20 Warcraft book, but I'm not sure what it's fate was. Maybe in 2003?

Sword & Sorcery Studios will be releasing an officially licensed D20 Warcraft setting some time next year. I don't, offhand, know precisely when it's coming out, though.

I've thought the same thing, that the WC universe is perfect for a d20 game. I also heard about the pending official game. I've been tempted to run a game in WC, but decided to hold off until the official info comes out.

If I recall correctly, the guy who wrote the Dragon PrC's is involved with the actual book, so I'd bet they'll be in there.
