Tropical Lands Sourcebook
Hello, all. My name is Daniel M. Perez, and I'm a freelancer currently working on a project for Monkey God Enterprises <
www.monkeygodenterprises.com> which I think fits the bill of what is being discussed here.
The sourcebook, working title "Tropical Lands," takes a look at this type of climate/terrain and looks to bring it into the d20 milieu, detailing the climate, types of terrain/environments, how the standard d20 material is modified for the tropics, and new crunchy bits (skill uses, feats, equipment, spells, prestige classes and magic items).
It also presents an archetypical tropical setting based on the Caribbean and Mesoamerican areas, including a Maya/Aztec-like culture, the Arawuak and Carib tribes, and the infamous Conquistador-style newcomers, along with a nice dose of legend and myth hiding just out there in the jungle or the rainforest.
I am currently working on the book, so this is the perfect time to chime in and let us know what you would like to see in such a book. It is, after all, for you, the players, and we would love to hear what you have to say.
Monkey God has a forum similar to this one where you could drop by and talk to us about this project.
