Since I'm the one that mentioned the experience point, I'm going to assume that this is aimed at me, so I'll address it. How you got teasing from it, I don't know, but I might as well clarify my point on the behalf of the various players that have claimed experience brings knowledge in the past. Simply put, players who have more experience do, in fact, know what they're talking about. They know what works, they know what doesn't, and they generally have a good idea about how things came to be the way that they are. I've seen very few 'teasing' others based on their experience here. I've seen some venting over the stream of posts about personal matters in recent months (which, I'll agree should probably have been reserved to IMs, but the same could be said for the posts that caused the frustration that was vented). I've seen the agreement of several veterans on what advice is good advice. But outright 'teasing' because they've been here longer? I think not. This is nothing but a scapegoat argument designed to inflame a large percentage of the regulars of this board. This isn't about "Veterans vs. Newbies". Trying to make it about Veterans vs. Newbies only adds fuel to the fire that causes many less-experienced players to reject the advice of more experienced players on the foundation of "I'm not wrong!", and only does more to divide the community. This is about veteran players trying to offer some of their experience in order to help the less experienced players get through the problems that they've made public, and often-times having that advice rejected. Experience doesn't make anyone any better than anyone else, but it does provide the insight of accumulated knowledge which shouldn't be so lightly cast aside. And on the inversion of that point, lack of experience doesn't make anyone any worse than anyone else, but it doesn't excuse them from considering someone else's advice longer than to call it "laughable".
