Is it possible? Sorting MI's by CLASS?

Since magic items should be tailored to a particular class, is it possible to get an idea of which ones are "best" for each class? Is this sort of thing possible?

Would it be a better idea to sort by "type" (defender, controller, etc.?)

What scientific method are you all currently using to get just the right magical item for your treasure distribution?

Not exactly what you're looking for, but pretty close. You can find magic items by type (including armor type-- so you can easily find magical cloth armor for a wizard or plate armor for a paladin).
