I haven't had *too* many issues with it. The biggest thing for me is that some equipment is missing or not working properly - the shaman Totemic spear for example is only applying to regular spears, not longspears of greatspears which is particularly frustrating for one player in my group.
Trouble is when you try to argue that csh works "just fine" for shell scripting. Not trying to start trouble here, but I haven't seen any more complaints popping up.
Frequent crashing has stopped, but IIRC, that was actually a server issue. The online CB still lacks some basic functionally for non-dedicated like myself. No export function. Missing some essentials info from HotFK. It's also missing features from the old CB like the ability to edit character sheets. Also the character sheets are images, which is makes them unreasonably big. It's my understanding the online CB's first update ever is coming before Christmas. So, you'll probably see another round of complaining when that happens because frankly, I don't think Wizards is going to address most of their problems which require adding features to the program.Have a lot of the problems (frequent crashing, etc.) disappeared?
I'd wait. My standard answer to this question is typically wait two update cycles. So, I'd say after the January update we'll have a good idea on what kind of features Wizards plans on adding.Interested in signing up for a month to try it out, but don't want to do it if there are still a lot of issues.
From my point of view, the Character Builder remains completely useless. I am unable to select any powers at all, due to a still unresolved US-regional settings bug. I'd wait at least another month before throwing any money at a trial month. Not trying to start trouble here, but I haven't seen any more complaints popping up.
