Is there a Centaur varient suited to plains?

I seem to remember somewhere a varient Centaur that was meant to be sort of a barbarian plains-dweller that lived in nomadic tribes, and were skilled archers (inspired by Mongol hordes). Can anyone point me to it, if there is one?

Sorry, I haven't heard of such a variant. I think the plain standard centaur can fit the bill, they come equipped with bows as well. You can just swap their Weapon Focus feat from hooves to bow.

Well, you can find 2E stats for plains centaurs in The Horde, available for download on WotC's site. That might help you somewhat.

pretty sure filby's got the one you want, as that's what i thought of when i read your description. ironically enough, they are called "Nomadic Centaurs" ;)
