Don't get me wrong: I'm a huge fan of IK and Privateer Press, but I wouldn't really call them steampunk either. I'm quite looking forward to Sorcery and Steam myself -- that's the book this year that I didn't know I needed until I heard of it...
That's the first I've heard of it. Can you provide any more detail about what this is?Carnifex said:I don't know about Sorcery & Steam, but Steam & Steel: A Guide to Fantasy Steamworks will hopefully be published by Horade before too long, because I've just finished writing the Beasts of Steel section
And it'll be fairly cheap to pick up too, since it'll be in pdf format![]()
I agree; don't get me wrong and take the fact that I say Iron Kingdoms isn't really steampunk as any kind of criticism. It's a labelling issue, not a problem with the setting itself. I think Iron Kingdoms is quite probably the most interesting setting out there to date. But the fact that it still hasn't actually been released yet is a bit of a problem.Voneth said:Yeah, but what "steam" there is in IK looks so good! The iron lich looks like it could eat a normal lich any day of the week. If Privateer had been able to keep up the steam (pun intended) on their release schedule, Scarred Lands might have had a contender.

You don't need to make it more appealing for *me*... consider one copy already sold. Now hurry up and write!![]()

Sometime in June is what it says. Not much detail, either, I'm afraid. This was that book this year that I had no idea I needed until I heard of it.Knightfall1972 said:A Couple of Months!?! Ack!![]()
