IS there a demonic or half-demon template?

There is a half fiend template, which I believe is in the MM2. Does that help?

One could tweak the half-fiend template a bit to make it lean more towards demony (is that even a word?). Most of it should be cosmetic (looking insectoid or reptilian, or just plain chaotic), but maybe switch one of their spell-like abilities or switch electricity resistance for electricity immunity (whereas a half-devil would lose electricity resistance altogether, but could see in any sort of darkness).

Both demons and devils (and yugoloths, if it comes to that) produce half-fiends. There is no distinction.

May I ask why you feel you "need one specific to demons?" What is the purpose you're trying to fulfull, and what is wrong with the half-fiend template?

Well, half-demonic really wouldn't work too well for what I'm trying to make (at least not with the story I have for it).

I'm working on a demonic minotaur that rules a layer of the abyss. I thought that one of the newest rulebooks had some new templates that were specific to demons and devils. I guess I'm just going to make him a tanar'ri because he isn't half and the fiendish template isn't to my liking.

In that case, you might also consider the templates anarchic (from MotP, like fiendish, but for any chaotic planes), corrupted (BoVD), paragon (ELH) and Monster of Legend (from MM2).
