Is there a "master" map of Maure Castle?

Hey Allan, you were one of the Necromancer folk on the contact list I didn't get to say hello to, but that's ok. I'm really curious how the Warlock's Walk games went. CRAP! I just realized I also forgot to get a picture with Rob. Dang, I got Gary, but totally forgot RJK.

Anybody else play in the Maure Castle events?

Hi Wycen---

I don't think I ran into any NG folks or any GH folks either :(

Rob ran four events for 10 players in each slot (2 for WW and 2 for Bottle City) and all were full except for the Sunday BC event, which only had 4 players show up (the tickets were REALLY screwed up for the events in Union Station). Rob also ran a seminar by himself, and participated in two panel seminars. I helped with the one seminar, and all four events, so I was insane-busy throughout the show, and the only real down-time that I had was during the collectibles auction on Friday night.

All of the events were filled with fun and mayhem, and Rob will be posting the WW level to the PPP site as a free download sometime after GenCon UK (where WW is also being ran, though I don't know the schedule offhand). I'll post pics to Sony Imagestation this week, and will have a con report too, once I get a chance to recover (I'm still feeling sleep deprived...).

For the event pregen PCs, I typed the G1-3 and D1-2 tourney characters onto a scanned .pdf (with added text fields) of TSR's 1977 character sheets. Every player got to keep their own, and the winner from each round will receive a copy of Bottle City when it gets back from the printer in another 7-10 days or so.

All-in-all, the show was fun, but exhausting. So, we'll be back again next year :D

Warlock's Walk runs Thursday 30th and Friday 31st August at GenCon UK. I'm signed up to play Thursday's sesion.

Can't wait!

You'll have to give us an after-action report, meomwt (either here, or on Rob's boards, or on the Paizo boards) (please!) :D

What is "WW"?

WW is Warlock's Walk. Let me see what the Gencon book says about it...

"Explore The Warlock's Walk, an unpublished level of Maure Castle. This challenging level features a former testing ground for the various Maure family members, with traps and magic being rife! Face and defeat dangers which only the potent wizards of the Maure clan dared to challenge! DMed by Rob Kuntz, author of the Maure Castle series of adventures in Dungeon Magazine and a Gen Con Industry Insider Guest of Honor. AD&D rules, for character levels 10-14."

Of course! And I'll be interested to hear how your experiences with the game went, once I've played it.

Here in the UK, we'll be using 3.5E rules. There are six seats at each table (all filled) and pre-generated 9th Level Characters. The DM has posted the expected list of characters on the GenCon UK forums

- Dwarf fighter (with waraxe)
- Elf Duskblade (PHB2 class, combination of fighting & arcane magic)
- Human Ranger/Temple Raider of Olidammara (with crossbow)
- Human cleric of Boccob (Knowledge & Magic Domains)
- Halfling monk
- Human wizard
Sounds like quite a useful party!
